We are only a few weeks from the beginning of Summer Band Camp.  With that, comes the beginning of lots of planning and events for BPD.  Below are list of upcoming events and a few fundraisers we have on the books for end of Summer/Fall.  

Summer Parent Social

Since we will be spending alot of time together, we like to gather over the summer to get to know each other.  It gives a chance to welcome Freshman parents and spend time with upperclasman parents we have not seen all summer. Fun will be had by all.  The Grandparent WIllis' have offered for us to use their lakehouse.  BPD will be providing smoked chicken.  We are asking parents to bring a potuck side or dessert  Below are the details for the social, as well as a sign up genius so we can all see what we are bringing.

Upcoming Events

Back 2 School Bash 2018, Saturday August 3rd

Each year Community Link hosts a Back to School Event where they meet the needs of hundreds of families in need in the EMS ISD.  This year BPD will be volunteering to get the event started. 
This event will be BATTERY ONLY.  More information to come!


Sports Fest, Saturday, August 18th 6pm (Boswell Gym) 


Fundraisers

Fundraising is essential for a group like BPD.  We will begin fundraising this summer for our Indoor program that begins in January.  Because our indoor program is completely parent funded, it makes fundraising all that more important.  Because we also have marching season that begins in September, our kids will be asked to partcipate in a couple of BOG fundraisers.  Below is a list of the fundraisers that are already on the books:

BOG Fundraisers - BOG Fan-Pledge, Wednesday August 8th. 

BPD Carwash - Saturday April 18th 9am - 1pm - 7-11 Boat Club

BPD Band Camp Dinners - Tuesday, July 31st, Tuesday, August 7th and Tuesday, August 14th. 
This fundraiser is HUGE for us.  In years past, we cook dinner one evening when the kids have 3-a-day practice.  We offer a $5 meal to the students and that way parents do not have to worry about their kids dinner that evening.  Well this year, we will be offering this meal 3 times.  Every Tuesday night from 7/31 to 8/14.  In order for us to maximize our profit, we ask BPD parents to donate as many supplies as possible so our expenses stay low.  I have attached a sign up genius for this event as well.

Dayton Parent Information and Other IMPORTANT Information

Hello Parents, Our kids leave for Dayton in 8 DAYS! The kids have worked SO HARD and have conquered so many obstacles for a young group!  We are SO PROUD!  If you have not been out to see them perform and are not coming to Ohio, I highly encourage you to come see them this Saturday.  It is the NTCA Championships at Burleson Centennial High School. Below is a list of items in regards to Dayton and upcoming events for the year end.  Parent Meeting Thursday, April 12th @ 6:30pm We are having our monthly parent meeting THIS THURSDAY.  We will cover all our regular business and then have a Dayton Travel meeting for all parents.  Please plan to attend so you will get all the details for your students' travel. BDP Important Information

Hello BPD Parents, We had a great weekend at WGI Dallas, placing 3rd for the day and 6th overall in the Nation!  WHOOHOO! This is upcoming week is a HUGE week for us!  Below are the highlights and things that need you as parents to take action on or get involved with.   We have 2 HUGE FUNDRAISERS NEXT WEEKEND that we need all parents to help with. Welcome New Parents and BPD Students, Registration and Drum Camp

Hello BPD Parents and Students, I want to introduce myself to those of you that are new to BPD.  My name is Jessica South.  I am the parent of 1 alumni BPD member and 1 Sophomore member, Aidan South.  I serve as the VP to BPD and on the BOG Booster Board.  I am honored to have been a part of this organization for the last 4 years.  This is a special group of students, parents and directors.  We feel honored to have new faces joining the group.   Below are some important information about the summer schedule.
