Drumline Weekly and Information 6/5/2017

Hello Parents,

It was so great to meet all of you this last week at registration.  If you were unable to attend, please email me back and let me know when we can get your student registered for the BPD 2017-18 Season. 

The kids have been hard at work already this week at Drum Camp.  They will be participating in the grand opening ceremonies on Friday for the new Kroger.  This will be a great event for our kids to be showcased at.  


Carwash Information
For the 1st time, we will be allocating the funds raised at carwashes to apply to student fee accounts.  Carwashes are the only fundraisers we do all year where the work is done solely by the students.  So, if you would like an opportunity to reduce your student's fees for this year, this is a great way to put a small dent in them.   We do understand that it is summer and all the kids are busy.  We chose this weekend, since it was right after drum camp and we will not have another one until the end of July right before Band Camp begins.  This frees up the kids the rest of the summer.  We would like all students to participate in all the carwashes if possible.  We raise more funds the more kids working it. 

How It Will Work:

Students will sign in upon arrival and out when they leave.  This way if a student can only participate for part of a carwash, they will still earn some funds for their account.   The funds will be broken into an hourly rate and applied to each students' account.
  
There will be 4 throughout the season, so this will give all students the opportunity to help their own accounts.

Hello Parents, Our kids leave for Dayton in 8 DAYS! The kids have worked SO HARD and have conquered so many obstacles for a young group!  We are SO PROUD!  If you have not been out to see them perform and are not coming to Ohio, I highly encourage you to come see them this Saturday.  It is the NTCA Championships at Burleson Centennial High School. Below is a list of items in regards to Dayton and upcoming events for the year end.  Parent Meeting Thursday, April 12th @ 6:30pm We are having our monthly parent meeting THIS THURSDAY.  We will cover all our regular business and then have a Dayton Travel meeting for all parents.  Please plan to attend so you will get all the details for your students' travel. Hello BPD Parents, We had a great weekend at WGI Dallas, placing 3rd for the day and 6th overall in the Nation!  WHOOHOO! This is upcoming week is a HUGE week for us!  Below are the highlights and things that need you as parents to take action on or get involved with.   We have 2 HUGE FUNDRAISERS NEXT WEEKEND that we need all parents to help with. Welcome New Parents and BPD Students, Registration and Drum Camp

Hello BPD Parents and Students, I want to introduce myself to those of you that are new to BPD.  My name is Jessica South.  I am the parent of 1 alumni BPD member and 1 Sophomore member, Aidan South.  I serve as the VP to BPD and on the BOG Booster Board.  I am honored to have been a part of this organization for the last 4 years.  This is a special group of students, parents and directors.  We feel honored to have new faces joining the group.   Below are some important information about the summer schedule.
